LICA had its General Membership meeting tonight at 7pm via Zoom. They normally have an in-person meeting at the Grange preceded by a Pot Luck. After the business part of the meeting and announcements, it is followed by a “door prize” for a lucky member in attendance.

This month LICA introduced numerous new benefits for the members.. some are coming as early as the middle of October.. with more to be announced next year. The upcoming printing and mailing out the Lummi Island Directory to the members was also discussed. Last, but not least, they presented their new Logo and Motto.
Also discussed was the Emergency Boat Landing Committee, and its upcoming Zoom meeting Tuesday September 28th from 6:30 – 8:00pm.
And now after months of trying to give the money away, Carrie Garde – a Tome Subscriber, was in attendance and her number in the subscriber list was drawn as the door prize winner. Congratulations Carrie!
Paul is busy writing her a nice check for $100. Each month $5 is put into the piggy bank until someone gets lucky.
