2026-03-22Join us for a replenishing forest walk to celebrate the Spring Equinox with Elizabeth Thomson We will explore Springtime themes of new beginnings, balance, and hope, both in ourselves and in the forest. As the light returns and the season shifts, join us for a 90-minute guided forest walk honoring the Spring Equinox. This gentle gathering offers space to slow down, listen inward, and explore what is quietly emerging in your life. Together we will reflect on themes of balance — grief and praise, rest and growth — while connecting with community and the steady rhythms of the natural world.
This is perfect for anyone who is navigating transition, longing for gentle support, or wanting intentional space to honor both what they are carrying and what they are becoming. No experience needed — just comfortable shoes, water, and an open heart.

A panel of national experts take us through why where we put our money matters. They clearly present what we can do--and mistakes to avoid.
Afterwards, there will be a sharing time about local Whatcom County resources.

With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, qigong is traditionally viewed by the Chinese and throughout Asia as a practice to cultivate and balance the mystical life-force qi.
Qigong practice typically involves moving meditation, coordinating slow-flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and a calm meditative state of mind. People practice qigong throughout China and worldwide for recreation, exercise, relaxation, preventive medicine, self-healing, alternative medicine, meditation, self-cultivation, and training for martial arts.

Gathering Place10:00 am: Kid's Dance–
2026-03-27Join LIH&W and instructor Cassa Cole for a joyful, one-hour parent-child movement class for ages 0 to Pre-K.
We begin with a cozy floor circle featuring welcome songs and names, then transition into gentle movement, guided dances, and interactive play with props like scarves and rhythm sticks. The class includes both high-energy dancing and quiet sensory moments, with a built-in “soft floor reset” and a designated retreat space for toddlers needing downtime. We close with parachute play and a goodbye song to wrap the session in connection and calm.
This class supports early childhood development through joyful movement, rhythm, and social engagement. Children benefit from gross motor skill development, vestibular stimulation, and emotional regulation through predictable transitions. Parents and caregivers are invited to co-regulate, bond, and move alongside their children, promoting connection and playful embodiment. The rhythmic structure and movement arc of the class also help reduce stress, increase body awareness, and build community among families.
