Town Hall Meeting – To be Re-Scheduled

Town Hall Meeting – To be Re-Scheduled

Event needs to be moved to another date due to scheduling conflicts.

LICA still will be sponsoring an Island wide Lummi Island Ferry Town Hall Meeting in the Beach School Gym in the future.
We will let everyone know the details as soon as we are able to re-schedule it.

The purpose of the meeting is to update the entire Lummi Island Community on the current state of discussions between Whatcom County Public Works, the Lummi Island Ferry Advisory Committee, and the Whatcom County Council regarding proposed changes to ordinances regulating ferry operations and ferry rates.

We also hope to have updated information on progress on the new ferry and terminal infrastructure construction plans.   After listening to presentations there will be a moderated opportunity for those present to ask questions and offer comments.

It is LICA’s sincere hope that this first post pandemic Ferry Town Hall meeting will provide all islanders with a better opportunity for community engagement regarding current and future Ferry topics than can be offered at a LIFAC or County Council meeting.

LICA is renting the school gym to hold the meeting because we believe that enough Islanders care about the future of the Whatcom County Ferry System to attend the meeting to learn, ask questions, and share their concerns and ideas as we move forward.

If you are unable to attend in person you can go the Community Website  Signup.LICA.us  and sign up to attend virtually via Zoom.
Please also RSVP at the link if you are attending in person so we can plan seating & attendance.
