Seal Rocks is an important pupping area for harbor seals. We have counted 300+ seals on the rock in the month of May and June. Pupping season lasts until September. Please remember to give the seals lots of room to raise their pups. 100 yards away is the law, I suggest staying even further away than that. Every summer the Whatcom Marine Mammal Stranding Network responds to orphaned/abandoned pups here, usually due to human interaction.
