Community Calendar

Join LIH&W and instructor Cassa Cole for a joyful, one-hour parent-child movement class for ages 0 to Pre-K. We begin with a cozy floor circle featuring welcome songs and names, then transition into gentle movement, guided dances, and interactive play with props like scarves and rhythm sticks. The class includes both high-energy dancing and quiet sensory moments, with a built-in “soft floor reset” and a designated retreat space for toddlers needing downtime. We close with parachute play and a goodbye song to wrap the session in connection and calm.

This class supports early childhood development through joyful movement, rhythm, and social engagement. Children benefit from gross motor skill development, vestibular stimulation, and emotional regulation through predictable transitions. Parents and caregivers are invited to co-regulate, bond, and move alongside their children, promoting connection and playful embodiment. The rhythmic structure and movement arc of the class also help reduce stress, increase body awareness, and build community among families.
