Mycologist Dr. Fred Rhoades and colleagues will lead participants through each of our four preserves in search of various types of fungi. This beloved autumn tradition is a fun, enlightening exploration of the ecological importance and significance of the island’s mushrooms. In 2024, 85 species were identified! We look forward to what this year will bring.
Please prepare for potential inclement weather and uneven terrain. Registration is limited to sixty participants. Refreshments provided.
