This year the LICA board will start off the Annual Membership Meeting Night with a pre-meeting social time featuring wine, cheese and other refreshments provided by us. This is a Thank You for all the support the community has given us this year.
To make sure we have enough food and seating setup, Please RSVP HERE if attending in person or via Zoom for this Hybrid meeting.
We will start the program by having a few of the organizations that submitted a 2024 grant proposal talk about their proposed projects and what they will bring to the community. The short business part of the meeting will cover the highlights of overall finances, budget and nominees. We will also present the proposed 2024 Community Grants. Here is a short look at them:
- The proposed 2024 Budget, which includes the following recommended $11,300 in Grants for Community Projects:
- FOIL $300 Archiving Supplies
- Meals on Wheels $1000 Donations for Groceries
- Parish Health Ministry $300 Electric bill for storage container
- Parish Health Ministry $500 Storage Supplies to improve access to equipment in container.
- LI Historical Society $500 Non-Profit Status Application
- The Grange $3000 Purchase Materials for outdoor event space
- The Gathering Place $3000 Acoustical Improvement Project
- The Gathering Place $300 Labyrinth rebuild Project.
- LIFE $1000 Living History Project
- Salish Center for Sustainable Fishing Methods $1000.00 Reefnet Fishing Past and Present Signs
- LIHT $400 ADA Trail Plan for Curry Preserve
- The Nominating Committee has recommended the following nominees to fill vacating board positions: Erin Deinzer, Julia Lowe, and David Thorn.
Danielle Walters, Dan Deshpande, and Jim McCaughan are seeking reelection for another term.
Nominations from the floor will be welcome prior to the election.
