Wednesday May 24th 6:30 – 7:30
Inspired by Lummi Island Aloha coordinator Julia Lowe’s “Luscious Lummi” Article that appears in this May issue of The Tome, the LICA Board decided we would change up the May General Meeting format to something a bit more casual.
We are inviting all Local Farmers, Fishers, Bakers, and others that produce and share/sell the bounty of Luscious Local Lummi Island produced foods to come meet community members interested in learning more about what’s available on the Island and when and how to support the folks working to bring delicious sustainable local foods to our tables.
Please bring an appetizer if you can to share and your own beverage to drink. LICA will provide plates and napkins. We are hoping that it will be warm enough to be able to set up outside on the deck at the Grange as we take advantage of the rapidly lengthening days.
For those wishing to linger a bit longer we will have a very brief meeting starting at 7:30 to meet our bylaw requirement to hold a business meeting in May.
Before having the drawing for the $25.00 door prize we will approve minutes of past meetings, announce upcoming island events, and pass out copies of several amendments to LICA’s bylaws that have been recommended by the board.
You can see a explanation of the proposed bylaws changes and the full text HERE or pick up a paper copy at the library. We will discuss and vote on the changes at our June General Meeting.
