Emergency repair work on a dolphin (group of pilings) at the Lummi Island Terminal will shorten ferry service over eight days in late January. The project contractor will work late evening and overnight, requiring ferry runs to end earlier than scheduled. Please plan ahead for the following service disruptions:
- Thursday, January 19 – last ferry run will be the 8:10 pm leaving Gooseberry Pt
- Friday, January 20 – last ferry run will be the 8:10 pm leaving Gooseberry Pt
- Saturday, January 21 – last ferry run will be the 8:10 pm leaving Gooseberry Pt
- Monday, January 23 – last ferry run will be the 9:10 pm leaving Gooseberry Pt
- Tuesday, January 24 – last ferry run will be the 9:10 pm leaving Gooseberry Pt
- Wednesday, January 25 – last ferry run will be the 9:10 pm leaving Gooseberry Pt
- Thursday, January 26 – last ferry run will be the 9:10 pm leaving Gooseberry Pt
- Friday, January 27 – last ferry run will be the 9:10 pm leaving Gooseberry Pt
The ferry will resume regular service each morning following the evening/overnight closure. The Whatcom Chief will not be able to make emergency runs during these outages.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience during construction. For more information, contact the Ferry Department at Ferry@co.whatcom.wa.us or 360-778-6200.
