Community Association Resumes Monthly Meetings
After a year of no Potluck Dinner meetings, we are starting a slow return to normal life. This month, it will be a ZOOM meeting open to everyone.
We have some very important business to attend to, and we need your help.
This is our first vote to approve our annual Grant Package. Our by-laws require approval at two consecutive meetings. The 2021 Grant package as recommended by the LICA Board is as follows:

- To receive a link to join the meeting, and exercise your right to vote on these important Community matters – Click HERE.
- You will receive a Confirmation email within 5 minutes. If you do not, contact us. Please check your Inbox and SPAM folder first just in case.
- Use the link you will be sent on the 28th to Check into the ZOOM meeting between 7:15 pm and 7:30 to wave and say HI to neighbors that you haven’t seen in a while.
- The Monthly Meeting will start Promptly at 7:30pm

We are sorry that this ZOOM meeting does not allow a Potluck Dinner and friendly conversation – But we will end our meeting with our traditional door prize drawing.
The $85 “door prize” will be awarded to a lucky Tome Subscriber if they are in the ZOOM meeting when we do the drawing.

- Grange:
- $300 Maintenance and repair on the Large Refrigeration unit in the Grange Kitchen or a small roof leak.
- $300 Add paving stones from double doors to street
- $300 Add a Grange Sign with Shingles for LICA, Island Chapel, and the Civic Club with the times of meetings.
- $1,000 New flooring in kitchen and dining room areas.
- $300 Heritage Trust – StoryWalk program
- $2,000 Whatcom County Fire District #11– gurney loading unit
- $1,000 Meals on Wheels and More

Election of Board Members
Next important item is a delayed election of LICA Board Members. We will publish the nominations received so far before the meeting, but nominations can be made from the “floor” (via ZOOM).
Next month at our Annual meeting, we will conclude nominations for the board, vote for the board members, and have the 2nd final vote for the Grant Package.
