Well, that’s a little obvious since you’re reading this, but after months of work by the Board and Volunteers in our community we’re truly happy to announce it.
To help you get started here’s a bit about what you’ll find.
Because the system contains over 290 pages (so far) of content, a very important feature is the built-in search engine. Access it by the Magnifying Glass icon in the top main menu. The site indexes the content and additional keywords, so you can quickly access everything. Give it a try. Just type in Ferry for instance….
We also have special Directories to find information about:
-
- Organizations, Services, Facilities
- Businesses, Vendors, Artists, Musicians
- Places of Interest
- Nature & Conservation
- Resident Activities
The Community section covers Island History, Weather, Voting and much more, including information about your Community Association and ways to support the community. The Official History Archives also appears here. Paul Davis has been building the Archive for decades, and now you’re able to see and experience them.
Of course, you can access all the necessary Ferry-related information and a menu section for Emergencies & Agencies.
We still have a lot of information to add or fine-tune. If you come across an empty page we’re still working on its content. So, patience please as we do that. Most pages have a comment section at the bottom where you can help with more information and feedback, or even adopt a page to provide its content. This is wholly a community-driven website. Also, you can also email the development team at Ideas@LICA.us
