Delays @ Gooseberry Dock

Whatcom County Public Works Maintenance & Operations crews will begin a culvert, storm main, and catch basin replacement project at the Gooseberry Spur near the Lummi Island ferry terminal starting Tuesday, June 2. Work is expected to continue through Thursday, June 11.
The project will require closure of one of the two ferry holding lanes for the duration of the work. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone and assist traffic traveling to and from the ferry terminal.
Drivers should expect delays and plan or use alternate routes to avoid backups. Ferry traffic and local traffic traveling through the area may be impacted.
The closed holding lane will reopen once the project is complete. Please slow down in the work zone and follow flagger directions.
