Photo Exhibition of the 2025 Reefnet Season

You are invited to a unique photo exhibit celebrating reefnet fishing on Lummi Island. The show comprises over 70 printed photographs of the 2025 Season as well as a bound book entitled "live/well" showcasing images from the entire project.
For those I haven't met in person, my name is Garrett MacLean. I am a San Francisco-based documentary photographer. My local friend and ferryman Peter G. introduced me to Lummi Island and its historic fishing method. Last summer, the incredible Reefnetting community literally welcomed me aboard, and I spent 7 weeks photographing its people, gear and the catch. It was a privilege and an honor to be on each of the boats and spend time with the crew members, whom you will recognize as your fellow neighbors, family and friends—both on the walls and in the pages of the book.
