You may have lived through the entire history of AI. Surprised?
"Artificial Intelligence" sounds new and complicated, but did you know the idea is as old as rock and roll? You may have witnessed its entire 70-year journey, from room-sized computers to the "magic" of today.
Join Bob (aka Robert Keller) for a "Bob Talk" on December 15, 6:00 pm at The Gathering Place to unravel the mystery. We'll bust the myths and discover that AI isn't a person, but a powerful tool.
You will learn the surprising history of AI, from 1950s concepts to its big comeback; understand what today's AI (like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude) actually does; see how AI is impacts our world in positive ways, from personalized health to environmental monitoring; watch a live demo where we ask AI to create art and video inspired by our own Lummi Island living.
This is not a technical session—it's a story for the curious. Donations to The Gathering Place are encouraged, but the event is free. We look forward to seeing you there!
