Perhaps it is a confluence of many things causing outcomes that gave me pause and ponder. Or maybe synchronicity and harmonies to the theme. Nonetheless, these events occurred independently and still like brushstrokes on a canvas to a bigger picture.
Last winter the LICA Board selected a picture of three of our volunteer firefighters as our cover for the new directory now in the mail.
Little did we know all that would transpire subsequently.
Our Fire Chief retired and our new Fire Chief was now on the cover!
The Station received a new fire engine.
There are two Resolutions for continued financing on the ballot and contained in the Voters’ Pamphlet you just received.
There are two candidates for a Fire Commissioner position also on the ballot.
Perhaps all of this is just coincidences. Then again, maybe it is a series of fortunate events to remind us how important our Volunteer Fire Department is to us all….
