Curry Preserve, LIHT

Always use any trails, paths, stairs and bridges on the Island with caution, and at your own risk

Since 1998, the Lummi Island Heritage Trust has partnered with our island community to protect forest, farmland, wetlands and undeveloped shorelines on Lummi Island.

  • Curry Preserve is a protected habitat for plants, birds and other wildlife, as well a place for people to experience nature.
  • No bikes are allowed in the preserve.
  • Camping, fires and smoking are strictly prohibited.
  • The walking / hiking trails are open to the public during daylight hours.
  • Dogs allowed on leash only

Directions / Details:

Two main entrances with parking:

2449 N. Nugent Road (lower entrance, park in the mowed areas to the right and left of the driveway)

Tuttle Lane (upper entrance, park in the pull-off on the east side of the road)

Exploring the Curry Preserve is an easy trek, as you wander along footpaths through the fields and trees.

The Trust’s Community Garden and Orchard projects are located near the Nugent Road entrance.
