The Friends of Island Library (FOIL) Board meeting is held on 3rd Monday of the month in the Island Library Hanson room at 6pm. Anyone wishing to attend may do so.
Our Mission
Provide a physical facility, support, and promote the purposes and activities of the Island Library and its community.
FOIL owns the property and buildings and raises money to maintain them.
Support library programs, encourage the use of library resources and services, and provide funds and volunteers hours for special projects.
We promote community awareness of libraries, advocate robust funding for Whatcom County Libraries, and support the freedom of individuals to read what they wish.
